You should consider human resources certification in Wyoming if you want a career in HR. This may or may not be required by your company, however most HR professionals recommend it. Certification will build up your resume and make you more marketable to potential employers. It could also benefit you with a pay raise.
Two basic types of human resources certification in Wyoming are available. The first level is Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and the advanced level is Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
You must complete a specific number of years with practical experience in the HR field to be eligible for HR certification in Wyoming at the PHR level. Four years of experience are required, however this is reduced if you have a degree. If you posses a bachelor’s degree, only two years are required and if you have a master’s degree, only one year is needed.
Certification at the SPHR level requires several more years of experience. The initial requirement is seven years. A bachelor’s degree reduces this to five years and if you have a master’s degree, only four years are needed. It is to your advantage to have a higher degree, because you can gain certification much more quickly.
