Oman Leads the way in Middle-Eastern Human Resource Development.

In Muscat, Oman, a country on the coast just South of Saudi Arabia, the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) and the Institute of Administration Development (IPA) held joint programs in the field of Human Resources, in Qatar, which concluded yesterday.

Shaikh Khalid bin Omar al Marhoon,  the Minister of Civil Service and IPA Chairman, led the ceremony. Dr Sulaiman bin Hilal al Alawi, Director of the IPA, gave a speech in which he summarized the six Human Resources development workshops that were organized. The workshops consisted of 85 male and female employees from different branches within the state government. The Oman Observer reported the event.

It’s great to see countries such as Oman in the middle-east, making progress by developing their government’s Human Resource programs. A willingness to educate Oman’s government workforce in the field of Human Resources, shows sings of accepting progress in the workplace. Progress which ultimately ends up being beneficial to employees, and employers alike. Human Resource professionals should embrace the fact that our field is making international waves.
